A message delivered ( Open)

Lai was walking around the many markets located in the Fire Nation Capital, browsing for items of his interest. What exactly he was hoping to find he didn't know, but he kept on browsing. But, his legs couldn't carry him all day, and he decided to buy some food and have a break. He looked around him, sniffed in the air, and followed his nose to the nearest Food Stall, which was a Sea Food Stall.

After ordering a Liontrout, which looked the most delicious and was the 'weekly specialty', he reached into his left pocket, where he kept his coins, and paid for the food. He turned around, and saw a big fountain, with benches all around it. He headed for the bench closest to him, and noticed a girl sitting there also. He swallowed the piece of fish he had in his mouth and asked her: "Um, hey there. Is this seat taken?"

The sun was still beating down on the capital and blistering with heat all in its path. The sunlight glistened off Kai's pale skin and made her light red hair radiant. She sat at her bench, elbow leaning on the side, watching the people and creatures go by. She took notice of everything that was going on, the merchants selling their goods to citizens, the busy bees bussing back and forth, the slackers strolling and the occasional lovers. She saw it all, she also noticed all the people, a few military personnel, most just minor soldiers, but one or two generals or lieutenants, businessmen that always seemed in a hurry.

As people walked by time passed, not too much but enough to make kai slightly tired, she yawned a few times and began making stories and back rounds for the people passing by. Like the man running quickly was late for a bending lesson, or the girl that was barely paying attention was on her way to a date with a boy she had been struck with love from a young age. She giggled to herself as the stories grew more and more farfetched and over the top.

She continued to make stories for the people passing by until she noticed an air nomad. She blinked twice making sure it wasn't one of her imagininatory figures. She watched him without staring, she thought to herself why he would be there, but she shrugged it off and went back to noticing the people. Until she noticed him out of the corner of her coming towards her bench. As the man speaks to her she turns her head towards him slightly. After he’s done she would look down at the empty side of the bench “I suppose not “she says as a noble would, the way she was trained by her rich family since she was young, although it wasn't really the way she usually acts.

Lai stood in front of the bench at the fountain, when the girl said the seat was unused. "Alright, then," he said, and smiled. With his trusty wooden staff on his back and a half-eaten Liontrout in his hand he sat down on the empty spot on the bench.

He took another bite from his snack, the last bite. He looked to his left and saw a conveniently placed iron, rusty trashbin, where he threw the big leaf the fish had been lying in in, along with the remaining bones, tail and head.

After licking his fingers, Lai looked to his left, where the girl was sitting. Since he wasn't in a hurry, he wanted to stir up a conversation. "The weather, it's the sunniest day this year yet. I wish I could stay here longer than a week, too bad I have things to do," he said to the girl next to him.

Lai looked at the girl as she answered and asked him a question, who looked quite cute in his opinion. In response to that question he replied: "Ha, that's because there are few of us, since... you know, when most of Air Nomads where murdered by the Fire Nation, over an age ago." He tried not to sound rude or anything, but the last part did sound a little harsh. He scratched the back of his head. "And, uh, I have to return to the Southern Air Temple soon, that's where I left my Flying Bison, Pabu," he said laughily, because of a few funny events that happened with Pabu and him.
He then quickly looked around, searching for Kalsang. "Err, I have my Blue Jay named Kalsang with me. I really have no clue where he is at the moment, though."

"Meat Sellers? Ha ha, very funny," Lai said, without any emotion visible on his face. He looked up in the sky, the sun was at it's peak. He suddenly remembered he was supposed to meet a friend his at a small Tea House, at noon. He quickly whistled a short tune, made up out of three notes, attempting to call Kelsang, but it didn't work. He shrugged his shoulders slightly and looked back at the girl. "I have to go, almost forgot I had a meeting," Lai said, "nice meeting you."

He stood up, and looked around, wondering in what direction he needed to go, but quickly recognised a big, decorative building of some sorts. The Tea House was relatively close to this building. He turned his head, smiled and said: "See you around, maybe." After a short wave he walked in the direction of the Tea House, with some haste in his steps since he was a little late.
