South Africa (BarutiwaDaily.com) - Nelson Mandela, the first black president of South Africa is celebrating his 92nd birthday today. Mandela is known for leading the struggle against white minority rule and blatant discrimination against blacks in South Africa. He became the country's first black president in 1994 and was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. South Africa's current president Jacob Zuma said Mandela taught South Africans how to overcome hatred.
